Lab Safety Contract

This is a slightly different version of the Lab Safety Contract that was sent home last week for a parent signature.

If your student has lost the original, you may print this one and sign it.  I covers the same basic lab safety instructions as the other.

I couldn't get a printable copy of the other, so this will do instead.

Recipe for "mantle" Putty

In a baggy, add 1 tablespoon of glue and 1 teaspoon of water.  If you would like to add color, now is the time.  Add drops of food coloring into the baggy. Gently mix with baggy closed.   Open baggy and add 1 tablespoon of BORAX solution (1 tablespoon of  Borax to 1 cup of water). Gently knead for 2 minutes.  The liquids will become a solid-liquid-like material that is bendable like the asthenosphere. 

HAVE FUN!!!! Play with it or give it for a gift.  DO NOT EAT IT!!!
