Social Studies Unit Test - Europe Morreale Fri 9/23 Mikhail Tues 9/27

We have been preparing study guides, playing review games in class and I do believe that in Mrs. Morreale's class we are ready to take this Social Studies test tomorrow.  Mrs. Mikhail's class will be ready by Tues.  We are just getting started as we just started reviewing our answers to the study guide today.

We will start playing our games on Friday.  Remember, you have to study a little bit every night, not just the night before a test.

Here is another form of the study guide.  You can even print them and cut them out and try to match them up or play concentration.

Good luck, and study.Download Europe Unit 1 Social Studies Test Geo, Culture and Economy Study Guide (2 column review, Flashcards, concentration game)

Mrs. Antonuccio and Mrs. DeSimone's Science classes - Rocks Sept. 13 Website

Since we will be getting ready for a test soon on igneous and sedimentary rocks, I found a great way for you to begin reviewing.  Here is a website to review.  It is Geology for Kids.  It does have some advertising, but read the information and then click the arrow that says next.  It has great pictures.

THEN,  play the game,  What Rock am I?   There is a place to click on the left that says geology games.  Try to remember what you have learned about the differences between igneous and sedimentary rocks.

Have fun, and keep learning.  Look back at my blog, for more study guides.   :)

Social Studies - Review Europe Map Skills September 12, 2011

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Europe/Eur_G1_1024_768.html

Here are some sites that will keep you practicing your map skills, and have you practicing the names of the countries and their locations in Europe.  Have fun!  They are very interactive, some have you naming and locating them and some have you moving the shapes into the correct places.  The second one is working with landforms.

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Europe-georegion.html

When you play each game, it will allow you to click more games.  That will take you back to the menu, so you can choose different levels, so you can do rivers, oceans, etc.

For the first map, it is level of difficulty.

Enjoy says Marco Polo!   Marco_polo
