Science - Antonuccio and DeSimone

This is a great powerpoint that was used in Mrs. Antonuccio's class to take notes on weathering.

Students may want to go through it one more time to review.  Students in Mrs. DeSimone's class may want to view it for just the first time.  They also might want to share it with you and tell you all about it.  It is one way to improve your knowledge when you teach it to someone else.

Social Studies Unit Test - Europe Morreale Fri 9/23 Mikhail Tues 9/27

We have been preparing study guides, playing review games in class and I do believe that in Mrs. Morreale's class we are ready to take this Social Studies test tomorrow.  Mrs. Mikhail's class will be ready by Tues.  We are just getting started as we just started reviewing our answers to the study guide today.

We will start playing our games on Friday.  Remember, you have to study a little bit every night, not just the night before a test.

Here is another form of the study guide.  You can even print them and cut them out and try to match them up or play concentration.

Good luck, and study.Download Europe Unit 1 Social Studies Test Geo, Culture and Economy Study Guide (2 column review, Flashcards, concentration game)

Mrs. Antonuccio and Mrs. DeSimone's Science classes - Rocks Sept. 13 Website

Since we will be getting ready for a test soon on igneous and sedimentary rocks, I found a great way for you to begin reviewing.  Here is a website to review.  It is Geology for Kids.  It does have some advertising, but read the information and then click the arrow that says next.  It has great pictures.

THEN,  play the game,  What Rock am I?   There is a place to click on the left that says geology games.  Try to remember what you have learned about the differences between igneous and sedimentary rocks.

Have fun, and keep learning.  Look back at my blog, for more study guides.   :)

It has been great so far.  Many children have already made new friends and met new teachers that they like.  You will always find your child actively engaged at Palmer Middle school!  There isn't a day that goes by that there isn't something interesting going on that they are learning and having a hands on experience.

You should be able to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at my email, sherie.austin@cobbk12.org

You may also contact the collaborative teachers that I work with this year!  Here is our email, but don't forget to go on the Cobb County School, Palmer website, and go to the individual teacher's blog for up to date information.  You should be able to put in your email, and then updates will be sent to you on most of them.   cobbk12.org/palmer
