What an awesome group of 6th graders! I am so impressed with their musicianship. We've completed the Pre-test and can now move on to creating beautiful music together. The 6th grade chorus average on my 9th grade level pre-test was 41%. Wow, this is a smart bunch of kids!!!
Students interested in auditioning for All State Chorus will need to sing the scales for me. Here are some links to help you practice.
Minor Scale - You will be able to hear a minor scale played, but beware. I have taught you to sing the minor scale starting on LA. This website starts the minor scale on DO. Both ways are correct, but I think it's easier to start on LA as I've taught you to do.
Here's an example of me singing the scales starting on Middle C. The students do this so much better than I do. Please don't laugh. :)
