AVID tutorials occur every Tuesday and Thursday and are an opportunity for students have questions answered from their academic classes. Tutorials take place in a collaborative group setting with a college tutor as a guide. The students use skills such as writing good questions, inquiry to drive the tutorials with questioning rather than giving answers, notetaking to record the thinking and stay focused, and learning to write a summary that reflects the learning that took place.
