This will be a unique week for you. Monday and Tuesday we will be discussing our new topic of Alcohol Tobacco and Drugs. Wednesday we will be screening for scoliosis. Thursday you will be with a substitute watching a movie on drug abuse and there will be a study guide for you to complete and turn in for credit. (I will be continuing the screenings for the remainder of the 8th grade) Friday be prepared to take notes and have a discussion on drugs. Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur. Remember it is Bullying Prevention Kick Off Week. There are some fun activities for you to be part of this week.

This is a unique week! Monday we will continue playing our class safety games and writting our reviews for each game. Tuesday we will be looking at our current grades and discussing our next topic  which is alochol tobacco and drugs. Wednesday and Thursday are different. Wednesday we will be completeing scoliosis screenings and you will left with a substitute the remainder of class because I will still be completing screenings. Thursday you will be watching a movie on the consequences of tobacco use. There will be a movie study guide for you to complete and turn in for credit. Friday we will begin our discussion on tobacco. Be prepared to take notes on Friday. Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur. Have a great week and remember it is Bully Prevention Kick Off Week! Each day is a fun activity for the school to partake in.

This week will be a normal week for you. We will be working on CPR all week long and your next article review will not be due until the Tueday prior to the Thanksgiving break. It will be over safety. Monday we will review the Checking the VIctim skill and discuss the CCC and ABC rules again. We will also look closer at the Good Samaritan Law which protects you as a responder. Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur. Tuesday we will review conscious choking. Wednesday we will be starting to work with manekins we will continue on with skills through the rest of the week. On Nov. 19th and 20th we will review all skills and finish our study guides to prepare you for the written test we will have when we return to school on the 26th. Remember to bring your cheat sheet to class everyday!!
