Persuasive Writing Unit - We are finishing up our unit on persuasive writing before Thanksgiving.  The students began writing their rough drafts in class today.  They should finish them tonight as homework.  Tomorrow they will revise and edit their papers with a peer.  The final paper is due Monday, November 19th.  The final draft must be typed or written neatly in blue or black ink.

The students should complete their prewriting assignment that we began in class today.  It is a graphic organizer for the three body paragraphs of their essay.  By tomorrow they should have this organizer and their introductory paragraph written.  We will writing their conclusion paragraph and completing rough drafts tomorrow.
