WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, MAY 23 & 24

The last two days of school were spent in Computer Lab 2.  We met with 1st & 2nd periods on Wednesday and 3rd & 4th periods on Thursday.  We finished up our "Astronomy Shortcuts" presentations and then students looked a variety of astronomy websites and played some space games to review astronomy concepts.  Once students turned in their assignment sheet they were allowed to play more space games or play math games on coolmath.com!  Students were also given time to sign yearbooks at the beginning of class!

MONDAY, MAY 7, 2012 through FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2012

In all of my science classes we began our research of our astronomy topic for the "Astronomy Shortcuts" project!  Students received a graphic organizer for their notes/jokes/pictures/resources and we used the laptops in class.  We will be using the laptops again on Tuesday and Wednesday.  We will be in Computer Lab 1 on Thursday and Friday.  By the end of class on Friday students should have completed their "Astronomy Shortcut" as we begin presentations on Monday, May 14, 2012.  Students are more than welcome to complete some of the research at home as well as bring a flash drive back and forth to school in order to ensure their project is completed by Monday.  Students already have the project guidelines and rubric.  This is a great way to round out our Astronomy unit!!!
