Language Arts Homework

Dear Students and Parents:

In Language Arts we will have an ongoing homework assignment of reading an average of 15 to 30 minutes per night.  Students should always have a self-selected reading book with them to read in class as time allows.  Language Arts will work together with the students' Reading teacher as well as the Media Center to ensure that book summaries are completed for students to participate in K.L.U.B., our reading incentive program here at Palmer.  Additionally, we have a vocabulary building program and will have periodic quizzes on those words.  The students will record such assessments in their agendas, so parents please help monitor those with your child to see what assignments are approaching.  The current words and date for the quizzes will also be added to this blog as the deadlines approach.
