Dear Parents and Students,
This year we are going to use Think.com, an Internet-based teaching tool approved by Cobb County School District. This is our first year using Think.com in our English class, so I want to make sure that we keep the lines of communication open. I hope that you will be able to use this tool to improve both your academic and personal success. You can view the Think.com "Parents Page" at any time for updates and information regarding our progress with this resource.
Several other schools in Cobb County are already using Think.com to extend the reach of their classrooms. We hope that using this tool will make it easier for you and your student to send and receive information between school and home. In addition to helping students develop Internet and computer literacy skills that will better prepare them for the workplace, we also hope that this tool will help parents stay connected to their student's academic life.
If you have not done so already, please visit Think.com and take a tour of the website. You should also review the "Parental Consent" and "Terms and Conditions" forms posted below. Students must return the completed, signed "Parental Consent" form before they will have access to Think.com.
I am eager to hear your thoughts about this tool and I look forward to receiving suggestions, feedback or concerns you may have about this coming year.
It's going to be a great year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Miller
