 ¡Hola!  ¡¡¡¡¡Estamos en el año 2012 – increíble!!!!!

We made it and I am so very proud of you.  You have worked hard and it will show these next two quearters and of course, we'll try to make it fun.  Please stay focused - remember to COMPLETE ALL HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS, use conjuguemos.com, and try to be here Thursday mornings at 8:15 if you need extra help.

We will be working on chapter 3 - it is on food and health - important topics:)  Homework assignment will be due on thursday for review, and the quiz will follow on Friday.  You should have received these vocab sheets in class - if not, here they are.  Have fun!

Presentacion Oral - El Restaurante

Presentations will begin on Friday, December 16.  Presentations must be memorized and are to be between 5 and 7 minutes long.   Menus are to be completed by Friday, December 9.   Take full advantage of the class time allotted for these presentations - in other words, STAY ON TASK!  These presentations can be a lot of fun (especially because we are looking for a little twist to them) and you can become easily distracted :)

This week on Thursday, we will review chapter 5A (Family)  using the workbook - homework pages should be completed.  Please come to class  prepared with questions. 

We will have a quiz on Friday, November 17 on this chapter - then we rest and eat :)

This week we are working on Chapter 5A - students need to work in their workbook (Core Practice and Guided Practice) for Chapter 5A.  Expect a quiz for 5A on Friday, November 17th.

I hope you enjoyed our Day of the Dead celebration with Day of the Dead Bread and Hot Chocolate:)  The video was very appropriate for this age group and very instructional - learned much about Mexican culture.  Muy bueno!

Students received their workbooks last week - FANTASTICO!

This Friday we will have a test on chapter 1 - Mis Amigos y Yo!  I'm sure you are all prepared:)

2nd Qtr!!!!!

First of all, No More English in the classroom so come prepared to express yourself in Spanish:)

We plan to go through chapters 1, 5 and 6 this quarter - no hay problema.  Please remember to maintain your notebook in order at all times. 

Monday, October 31, we will celebrate "El Dia de Los Muertos" with hot chocolate and Day of the Dead bread.  Very interesting:)  Muy interesante:)  (A smile is a smile in any language.)

Reminder - We are at the end of the 1st quarter - increible!  We will have a test Thursday on chapter 2B.  Remember to study your 2B packet and your vocabulary sheet.  You can also practice on conjuguemos.com and your on-line textbook.  This should be a routine by now:)

Reminder - El Dia de Los Muertos will be celebrated on Monday, October 31.  We will have day of the dead bread and hot chocolate.  Que chevere!
