Summer Reading Project - Small Group Language Arts

I know that most of you are still reading and completing your Summer Reading Projects and we will work together so that you will accomplish this goal.  Don't give up because the rewards are great - you will become a better reader and you will have additional pages to add your reading logs.

Most of you are reading the same book so begin a discussion with your classmates to see what they have discovered. 

Language Arts - Small Group

                                              "How is a writer like a sculptor?"

This is the topic we will explore during the week of August 27 through August 31, 2007.  Students will use their completed baseline writing assignments to "walk through" the steps of the writing process.  We have already completed the "prewrite," now we will move on to "revising" and "editing." 

Last week, students had a mini-lesson on ADJECTIVES.  On Tuesday, August 28, 2007, there will be an exam on identifying the adjectives and the nouns that they modify.
