Persuasive essay writing - Students will begin their rough draft, compose their "arguments" for and against their chosen topic, writing their introduction and body paragraphs.
The entire week will be devoted to working on this essay therefore students must come to class prepared with ideas to include in their compositions. As students complete their drafts and the essays have been revised and edited, they will begin publishing or typing their papers.

Continuing with our Persuasive Essay, students will begin to draft an outline of their essays.
Focusing on the Pros and Cons that they have created last week, students will use this as the basis for their "argument" to attempt to persuade and convince you to believe their "point of view."
A review of the parts of speech will also be a part of our lesson for this week.
